The combination of episodic headache, sweating, and palpitations is highly suggestive of phaeochromocytoma – any of these symptoms can also occur in isolation. Other symptoms include hypertension (80 – 90% of cases), pallor (40%), and anxiety or panic (35%).

Note that 24-hour urinary metanephrines or normetanephrines can be done without dietary restrictions. However, high rate of false positives.
